Troy High School’s AP Language and Composition students invite local senior citizens to a special community gathering focused on connection, engagement, and support. As part of their Service Learning Project, students have researched the impact of loneliness and social isolation among older adults and are working to create meaningful opportunities for connection.
This event is part of the AP with WE Service program, a nationally recognized service-learning designation through the College Board. Through this initiative, students combine academic research with real-world action to address community needs.
Attendees can look forward to a complimentary meal, a student-led presentation of research findings, and the opportunity to meet representatives from local organizations that serve and support the senior community. The goal is to foster new relationships, share resources, and build a stronger sense of community.
We encourage you to share this event with family members, neighbors, and friends who may benefit from this opportunity to connect.
