The Troy High School FFA program showcased its exceptional talent and hard work at the Area 12 Leadership Development Events (LDEs), earning top placements across multiple categories and qualifying two teams for the state competition.

FFA members demonstrated their skills in various contests, results as follows:

• Public Relations: Gracen McMurtry, Makinley Doskocil, Learson Murray, and Rhettlee Guin – 1st Place, STATE QUALIFIER
• Junior Creed Speaking: Jody Thigpen – 1st Place, STATE QUALIFIER
• Senior Creed Speaking: Cadence Sen – 3rd Place
• Radio Broadcasting: Learson Murray, Emma Gersbach, and Cailin Clark – 5th Place
• Agricultural Issues Forum: Erin Lee, Jacob Ward, Bailey Collins, Hannah Dycus, Jody Thigpen, and Luke McIver – 5th Place
• Junior Chapter Conducting: Shelby Williams, JoJo Sommerfeld, Joaquin Zacarias, Peyton Sierra, Ty Gray, Chandler Kirkscey, and Addison Henderson – 6th Place
• Senior Chapter Conducting: Skylar Workman, Rhettlee Guin, Gracen McMurtry, Owen DuPuis, Makinley Doskocil, Bailey Crawford, Lana Welch, Bailey Collins, Mia Zaragoza, and Carly Hernandez – 7th Place

The Public Relations team and Junior Creed speaker will compete at the state level on December 6-7 at Sam Houston State University.
