Troy High School is entering its GREATNESS era with this year’s inspiring theme, "Finding Our Greatness."
The message is clear: greatness isn’t reserved for a chosen few—it’s something we all can achieve.

Inspired by the powerful Nike campaign, "Find Your Greatness," this theme reflects Troy High's commitment to creating an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and recognized.
The original Nike commercial showcases ordinary people accomplishing extraordinary things, and Troy High is carrying that spirit into the classroom and throughout campus.
At the heart of this initiative is a student recognition program that celebrates acts of greatness. Teachers and staff nominate students who go above and beyond in their behavior, kindness, or achievements.
These nominations are submitted to administrators, who then recognize the students during lunch.
The best part? After the recognition, each student gets to spin a prize wheel, with rewards ranging from Taco Bell gift cards to the highly coveted "Huber Uber"—a unique experience where high school counselor Mollie Huber pedals students to class on a bicycle.

“Our main focus for this program is to be able to include students that aren’t normally recognized. We have the honors banquet at the end of the year but that recognizes students with high grades and perfect attendance. We wanted to come up with a way that every student’s greatness is recognized and celebrated.” Assistant Principal, Scott Uptmore stated.

Junior, Joey Garza shared “I was very excited when I learned I had won the Huber Uber. The first thing I did was I threw my hands up and I screamed ‘I GOT IT!’ It feels very good to know that I am seen. My coach, coach Bohlin, recognized me.”  Garza spoke over the overall atmosphere of the high school expressing, “On one hand you have the people who know they can do good and then the people who DO good.
When the people who DO good share ‘this is what I am getting’ it encourages and motivates the people who can do good to actually go and DO great things!” 

Through this fun and impactful program, Troy High School is fostering a strong sense of belonging, while encouraging students to reach for their greatness
—one act of kindness, achievement, or effort at a time.
