Bachelors degree in Music Education from Tennessee Technological University
It’s my first year in Troy ISD. I am the Percussion Director at Troy High School and Raymond Mays Middle School.
I started teaching at Stony Point High School from 2011-2015 as the Front Ensemble Coordinator. I moved to Anderson High School in Austin, TX from 2015-2022 seasons as the Front Ensemble Technician, Arranger, Sound Designer and Audio Engineer. I also worked with the Glenn High School in Leander, TX percussion section from 2020-2022 during their Indoor Drumline seasons.
In addition to percussion ensemble instruction, I have been a full time private lessons instructor with several different high school and middle school campuses for 10 years. The past 3 years, I have taught lesson studios of over 60 students weekly. My lesson students have earned many accolades including the top positions in TMEA auditions at the district and area level in both middle school and high school.
I also worked as a touring musician the past 10 years on drumset with many different artists. I have worked the most with Austin Stone Worship, Logan Walter, and Jimmy McNeal.
Finally, I am the Director of Audio with Genesis Drum and Bugle Corps during the spring and summer seasons. I also do digital design work for many local high school marching band programs.
I love cooking BBQ! I have several BBQ Smokers that I use and would love to chat through different methods with people. It seems like an art form of it’s own and I fell in love with the process during the pandemic year.
