On Monday, January 23, 2023, State FFA Officers, Windsor Godfrey (Texas State President), Bryce Fisher (1st Vice President, Area XII), and Zoee Nolen (Area II Representative), gave a presentation at Troy High School. The presentation focused on breaking out of comfort zones by overcoming fear and uncomfortableness in order to reach success.
The THS students completed an activity where groups of two had to pop a balloon without using their hands, throw away the trash and then return to their seats. The activity exemplified overcoming the uncomfortable/awkward feelings that are often present when faced with a new task, in order to achieve a goal.
State officers discussed the importance of the development of tangible ways to overcome fears in order to achieve success – stepping out of the comfort zone and into the growth zone necessary for achieving goals. At the end of the presentation, Troy FFA Chapter Officers thanked the State FFA Officers with a hamper of gifts and snacks.
