THS Students, Educators Selected for Conference

 

THS Students and Educators participate in Nuclear Power Institute's GREEN Day Conference, held at Texas A&M University on November 14th, 2022.

Below is a picture from the Nuclear Power Institute's GREEN Day conference held at Texas A&M University on November 14. Pictured left to right: Samantha Millerd - THS Algebra teacher, Soleil Moreno – THS Student, Kendall Taylor – THS Student, and Mollie Huber –  THS Counselor.

Nuclear Institute POWER SET day

Soleil Moreno and Kendall Taylor were selected to join 30 other young women from high schools across Texas to participate in the Powerful Opportunities for Women Eager and Ready for Science, Engineering, and Technology (POWER SET) Green Program.  During the one-day event, the students heard from and engaged with dynamic female speakers on clean industries and innovations in STEM.

Samantha Millerd was selected to participate in the Getting Resilient on Engineering and Energy from Nuclear (GREEN) Day for Educators Program,  The teachers also heard from and engaged with dynamic speakers on clean industries and innovations in STEM during a one-day event.  

Mollie Huber was a presenter at GREEN Day for Educators.
