A New Education Law

The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) was signed by President Obama on December 10, 2015. The law reauthorizes the 50-year old Elementary and Secondary Education Act. Find out more about ESSA by clicking here.

Coordinated School Health Program

The Troy ISD Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) has adopted the Coordinated Approach to Child Health (CATCH) as the K-8 Coordinated School Health Curriculum. CATCH offers a comprehensive, standards-based, cross-curricular approach to teaching health and physical education. Students, teachers and parents have access to up-to-date health and fitness information in a monthly curriculum and are encouraged to participate in activities that help to develop lifestyle wellness strategies and skills.
